First 120-Day Priorities
During his first 120 days in office, John Mahama pledged swift, decisive action to address Ghana’s most urgent needs. His priorities centered on stabilizing the economy, strengthening infrastructure, and advancing social equity to deliver meaningful change for all citizens.
Programme Overview
The 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme (24H+) is President John Dramani Mahama’s flagship economic agenda. It aims to transform Ghana’s productive sectors—including agriculture, manufacturing, fisheries, and the creative industries—by enabling continuous operations, improving the use of existing facilities, reducing idle time, and increasing value-added output.
How the Model Works
The programme goes beyond simply extending business hours. It promotes a multi-shift operating model in which production, logistics, and services run across the day and night, increasing output without requiring entirely new capacity.
Core mechanisms include: coordinated multi-sector implementation, industrial parks, export corridors, and agricultural reforms.
