Ohiaba is a Township located in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District and Cape Coast Region of Ghana. Ohiaba is one of many historical landmarks of the renowned Fante people. Known for its rich history, culture, people and has become a beacon of light for Diaspora across the world.
Ohiaba Village is a group of community neighbors who saw a need to further highlight the philanthropic work of Ohiaba's Chiefs of Development Nana Gye Nyame & Nana Adwoa Ampomah.
Ohiaba Village believes that every child deserves access to a quality educational experience, free from learning barriers. We approach each student with compassion, respect, and empathy, and strive to create a safe and welcoming learning environment for all.

Learning our story and connecting all dots. Join Nana Gye Nyame, Nana Adwoa Ampomah and the Senior class of ’24 on Part 2 of their first ever trip to Assin Manso Slave river. The students learn how Diaspora retrace their ancestral ties back to the Continent through this historical landmarked transatlantic slave route. Also called, “The Last Bath”, the enslaved upon receiving this ritualistic bath, were transported to nearby slave ports to await their final departure to the Americas.
Diaspora from across the world both invests and sows into the communities for which they will become neighbors. Enjoy the laughter and smile as Nana Gye Nyame and Nana Adwoa Ampomah introduce Ohiaba’s newest Sponsor and Asebu Neighbor, Brother Gabriel to the school children of Ohiaba.

It’s easy to take for granted our educators and their needs. Yet, they sacrifice their own comfort to insure that the needs of their children are met first. Today, that changes. Nana Gye Nyame asked a few teachers to share their experiences and this is what they’ve humbly asked for.

· Teacher Briefs and materials (bonus add)

Field trips that not only bridge gaps, helps us to learn more about the world we occupy and each other. Culturally Rich Exchanges helps to further bind the ties that connect us all to a shared history. Surprisingly, not many know the historically significant details of our shared history. Though we’ve existed on differing sides of the continent, much more has been gained from our re-connection. In order not to repeat the past, it’s important to not forget its implications.
Help us continue to provide support for Ohiaba School's self-sufficiency student Agri-garden project. So far, they've reaped their first maize harvest and continue the cultivation of cassava.
